The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GBFJP-G5XV or 281GBFJPG5XV, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar units. It carries a continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft and delivers output power above 56 HP. Nine speed ratios cover both low- and high-speed applications. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, with an upgraded ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and clutch pack discs that are 80% thicker than the previous generation.
