The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCFJP-G3RK or 281GCFJPG3RK, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. Evolved from the widely used 280 Series, the 281 Series incorporates a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with 80% thicker steel discs to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference issues.
