The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCFJP-N5XV or 281GCFJPN5XV, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. It delivers nine speed ratios spanning low and high ranges, with continuous-duty torque rated at 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) at the series level. Output options include SAE B and SAE C pump flanges, ISO 7652 pump flange, and driveline configurations. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, adding a ductile iron bearing cap that is 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and an 80% thicker clutch pack for reduced tooth wear. Wet Spline lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times. Available from Pro Gear and Transmission.
