The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCFJP-T5RK or 281GCFJPT5RK, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. The 281 Series evolves directly from the proven 280 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with steel discs 80% thicker than the previous design to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speeds. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues. A positive stop on driveline outputs eliminates oil seal damage from coupling.
