The Chelsea 281GDFJP-E8BV or 281GDFJPE8BV is a 281 Series Power Take-Off assembly designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. It is hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) for hot-shift operation and supports continuous duty with nine speed ratios spanning low and high ranges. The 281 Series bearing cap is ductile iron, rated 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing vibrational effects. The clutch pack features 80% thicker steel disks compared to the 280 Series predecessor to resist premature tooth wear.
