281GGFJP-L5RY Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGFJP-L5RY or 281GGFJPL5RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. It mounts with a 10-bolt pattern and offers nine speed ratios spanning both low and high ranges. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and the clutch pack uses steel discs that are 80% thicker than the prior 280 Series design to resist premature wear. An o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces vibrational effects. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance interference.
