The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGFJP-N5RK or 281GGFJPN5RK, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. It mounts directly to the transmission and delivers continuous-duty torque rated up to 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) at the series level, with nine available speed ratios spanning both low and high ranges. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, adding a ductile iron bearing cap 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and 80% thicker steel discs in the clutch pack to resist premature tooth wear.
