The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGFJP-S5XD or 281GGFJPS5XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. The 281 Series is a direct evolution of the 280 Series, introducing a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with 80% thicker steel discs to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios span both low and high ranges. Wet Spline Lubrication, where specified, provides 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. Available with driveline or SAE pump flange outputs, and optional Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC). A genuine Chelsea part, available from Pro Gear and Transmission.
