281GGFJP-S8RY Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off (part number 281GGFJP-S8RY or 281GGFJPS8RY) is a hydraulically shifted, hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, most commonly Allison transmissions. Built as an evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 Series adds a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an 80% increase in clutch pack disc thickness to resist premature tooth wear. The nine available speed ratios, rotatable cast-iron flanges for improved pump clearance, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) make this PTO a fit for demanding vocational work including fire and rescue, refuse, truck cranes, and pumper-cleaner trucks.
