The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GKFJW-D3RY or 281GKFJWD3RY, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. An evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 Series features a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and reduce damaging vibrational effects. The clutch pack uses steel discs 80% thicker than the previous design to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Output options include SAE B and SAE C pump flanges, ISO 7652 pump flange, and driveline. Wet Spline lubrication is included, providing 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and SmartStart are available to protect driven equipment and reduce shock load at engagement.
