281GKKVP-B5RF Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GKKVP-B5RF or 281GKKVPB5RF, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. Built on the foundation of the proven 280 Series, the 281 Series introduces a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc stack to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover low and high ranges. The Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. SmartStart reduces shock load at start-up, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and the Positive Stop feature on driveline outputs eliminates oil seal damage from coupling.
