The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GMFJP-D3SC or 281GMFJPD3SC, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar units. The 281 Series builds on the proven 280 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc for reduced tooth wear, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load. Continuous torque rating is 390 lb-ft (529 Nm). Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed applications. Common markets include fire and rescue, refuse, pumper cleaner, and truck cranes.
