The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GMFJP-D5BV or 281GMFJPD5BV, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. It mounts with a 10-bolt pattern and delivers a single continuous duty torque rating across nine available speed ratios, including low and high ranges. The clutch pack uses steel discs that are 80% thicker than the previous 280 Series design to resist premature tooth wear. A ductile iron bearing cap replaces the gray iron predecessor for significantly greater strength. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference issues at the pump mount.
