The Chelsea 871 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 871XDFJP-D5BV or 871XDFJPD5BV, is a 10-bolt hydraulic PowerShift PTO designed for Allison transmissions. Continuous-duty rated up to 670 lb-ft (908 N-m) of torque, it mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and offers nine speed ratios and thirteen output configurations to match a wide range of hydraulic pump setups. The compact housing keeps clearance concerns to a minimum on tight installations. This unit is the only Chelsea PTO to combine Wet Spline, SmartStart, and Quiet Gear options in a single platform, making it well suited for fire and rescue apparatus, truck cranes, refuse trucks, and pumper-cleaner units. A ductile iron bearing cap, 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduce vibrational effects and improve clamp load. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) is available as a protective option to guard driven equipment against overspeed damage. The SmartStart option reduces shock load at startup, an advantage in demanding fire, rescue, and refuse applications. This assembly replaces the previous Chelsea 870 Series PTO.
