The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off 281GMFJP-D5RY or 281GMFJPD5RY is a hydraulically shifted, hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly used on Allison transmissions. It is an evolution of the 280 Series, featuring a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an 80% thicker steel disc clutch pack to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference fit issues, while the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. SmartStart reduces shock load at engagement, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges.
