The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GMFJP-G5SV or 281GMFJPG5SV, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly used on Allison transmissions. Built as an evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 Series features a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc to resist premature tooth wear, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed demands. Rotatable cast iron flanges reduce interference with pump clearance. The Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times.
