The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282GMAJX-A3RY or 282GMAJXA3RY, is a medium-duty hot-shift PTO built for demanding vocational applications including aerial, towing and recovery, construction equipment, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and accepts pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) shift operation. The 1-1/4" round output shaft uses a 5/16" key. The 282 Series carries a continuous torque rating of 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) and an intermittent torque range of 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Shaft power output reaches 57 HP (43 kW) at 1,000 RPM. Compatible transmissions include Allison, Volvo/Mack, Eaton/Fuller, and other manufacturers. Available with the optional Wet-Spline configuration and Smart Start for high-torque engagement.
