The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282XGAJX-J3RK or 282XGAJXJ3RK, is a medium-duty hot-shift PTO designed for demanding continuous-duty applications. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and is compatible with transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers. Shift options include pneumatic and PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic). The 1-1/4" round output shaft uses a 5/16" key drive. Intermittent torque ratings fall in the 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) range, with continuous torque up to 300 lb-ft; check application pages for ratings specific to your installation. Rotatable flanges allow flexible installation orientation. The direct-mount configuration supports the optional Wet-Spline lubrication system for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output versions include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. The Smart Start option assists with high-torque engagement during start-up conditions.
