The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off, part number 282XMAJX-13RF or 282XMAJX13RF, is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot shift PTO compatible with Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other transmission manufacturers. It supports both pneumatic and PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) engagement. The 1-1/4" round output shaft uses a 5/16" key and handles continuous torque up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) with intermittent ratings in the 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) range. The 282 offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options, making it adaptable across a wide range of vocational applications including aerial, construction equipment, towing and recovery, water trucks, and home fuel oil delivery. Rotatable flanges allow mounting flexibility, and the direct-mount output options include an available Wet-Spline design for longer PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output configurations include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes.
