The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282XSAJX-13RF or 282XSAJX13RF, is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot shift PTO designed for demanding continuous-duty applications. It accepts pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation and features an integral air valve. The 1-1/4" round output shaft includes a 5/16" key. Shaft power output reaches 57 HP at 1,000 RPM and 29 HP at 500 RPM. The 282 Series carries a continuous torque rating up to 300 lb-ft and an intermittent rating in the 201-300 lb-ft range. Rotatable flanges, an optional wet-spline output, and a Smart Start option for high-torque start-up make this unit suited for aerial, towing and recovery, construction, water truck, and fuel oil delivery applications.
