The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 288GDKVW-M8RF or 288GDKVWM8RF, is a heavy-duty 10-bolt constant mesh PTO built on the 281 Series platform. It delivers a single continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, making it well suited for demanding applications in refuse, aerial, vacuum, and snow and ice equipment. Ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing vibration-related wear. The standard output shaft uses a positive stop design for driveline outputs, protecting oil seals from coupling damage. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed requirements. The optional Wet Spline Lubrication configuration extends pump shaft life by 7 to 10 times compared to dry-spline setups. A hydraulic hose is included.
