The Chelsea 489GQAHX-A3SQ or 489GQAHXA3SQ is a 489 Series Power Take-Off assembly designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible units. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path. Wire/cable mechanical shift operates the unit; the output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Intermittent torque for the 489 Series runs 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm), with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Internal parts share commonality with the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying service.
