The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFAHX-A5SQ or 489XFAHXA5SQ, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings on Eaton/Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and other compatible transmissions. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, which removes one potential leak path. The 489 Series delivers the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series, and uses tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for improved load handling. Output shaft is a 1-1/4 in. round with key. Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts are common with the 442 Series, simplifying parts stocking.
