The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFAHX-H3XD or 489XFAHXH3XD, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and compatible transmissions. Its one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission face, eliminating the adapter plate that would otherwise add a potential leak path. The 489 Series is rated for 46-55 HP output and up to 250 lb-ft intermittent torque, with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4" round output shaft (with key) is supported by tapered bearings for greater load-bearing capability than needle-bearing designs.
