Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFITX-C3XD or 489XFITXC3XD, is a wire/cable mechanical-shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, Tremec, and other compatible transmissions. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission aperture, eliminating the adapter plate and its associated leak path. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft (with key), rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm). Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and the kit-style design simplifies field service. An electric-over-air shift option and greaseable output configurations are available within the series.
