The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489XFITX-H3XQ or 489XFITXH3XQ is an 8-bolt PTO designed to mount directly to the transmission opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and others, without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shares its internal parts with the 442 Series. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Output power ranges from 46-55 HP, with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load-bearing capability. Applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal, and fire and rescue equipment.
