The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XLEVX-A3XK or 489XLEVXA3XK, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates a potential leak path that adapter-plate designs introduce. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a key. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
