The Chelsea 489 Series PTO Assembly, part number 489XLITX-A3XK or 489XLITXA3XK, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on compatible manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and others. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths and mounting time. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Intermittent torque for the 489 Series is rated at 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capacity. Internal parts are common with the Chelsea 442 Series.
