The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XLITX-S3XK or 489XLITXS3XK, is an 8-bolt PTO designed to mount directly to most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec units without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate leak path while delivering the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The 1-1/4" round output shaft with key is driven by tapered bearings for greater load capacity than needle-bearing designs. Shaft power output is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM, with a continuous output range of 46-55 HP. Internal parts share commonality with the 442 Series for straightforward servicing.
