Its one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate needed on some installations, removing a potential leak path. The wire/cable mechanical shift mechanism actuates the unit, with an electric-over-air shift option available in the 489 Series. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft (with key), rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft.
