The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XQITX-A3GF or 489XQITXA3GF, mounts directly to the 8-bolt opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts straight to the transmission face, eliminating the adapter plate and its associated leak path. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration with key, driven by a wire/cable mechanical shift. The 489 Series carries the same intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series - up to 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) - and uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load capacity. Shaft power output is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts are common with the 442 Series, simplifying parts inventory.
