The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XSEVX-W5XD or 489XSEVXW5XD, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly designed for most manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. Its one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The wire/cable mechanical shift unit delivers up to 250 lb-ft intermittent torque and 46-55 HP output. The 1-1/4" round output shaft is available with or without a key. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Internal parts are shared with the 442 Series, keeping service straightforward.
