The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XUBGX-W3XD or 489XUBGXW3XD, is an 8-bolt PTO designed to mount directly to manual transmissions from Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, Tremec, and other compatible manufacturers. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts straight to the transmission's 8-bolt opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a key. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and the 489 features tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load capacity.
