The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XXITX-H3XR or 489XXITXH3XR, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller and Volvo/Mack. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on earlier designs, reducing potential leak paths. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm), with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers output through a 1-1/4" round shaft (with key). Tapered output bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity.
