The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489ZHDAX-A6XK or 489ZHDAXA6XK, mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec models. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path at the transmission face. The wire/cable mechanical shift moves the PTO in and out of engagement, and the 1-1/4" round output shaft (with key) drives the auxiliary equipment. Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
