The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489ZLDAX-A5GB or 489ZLDAXA5GB, is an 8-bolt direct-mount PTO designed for manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller and Volvo/Mack applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers up to 250 lb-ft intermittent torque, with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4" round output shaft is available with keyway. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
