The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on older designs, reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series delivers the same intermittent torque rating as the 442 Series at up to 250 lb-ft, with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Output is via an SAE B 2 or 4-bolt flange with a 7/8" 13-tooth SAE B shaft. Air shift is standard; electric-over-air shift is also available as a series option.
