The Eaton Detroit Locker Posi differential, part number 19557-010 or 19557010, is a limited-slip unit built for General Motors 8.5-inch 10-bolt axles with 28-spline shafts and ring gear ratios of 2.73 and up. The axle shaft diameter is 1.2 inches. Rated for street and muscle, drag racing, restoration, work truck and towing, and light off-road trail use. Note: GM 8.5-inch and 8.6-inch Eaton differentials require specific bearings based on bearing bore size. Axles with a race O.D. of 2.89 inches (typically pre-1999) require bearing LM102949 and race LM102911; axles with a race O.D. of 3.06 inches (typically 1999-2013) require bearing LM603049 and race LM603012. Manual locking hubs are recommended for front axle applications. Call us to confirm proper fit for your axle.
