Fabco 235-0658 or 2350658 intermediate cap is a genuine OEM Fabco component sold by Pro Gear and Transmission. The factory parts list calls it Cap, Oil Pump Mounting, and it is the cap that mounts the lubrication oil pump in the intermediate shaft assembly.
It is item 11 in the intermediate shaft assembly of the Fabco TC 170 and TC 170-PD units that are built with a lubrication pump, quantity 1 per assembly. In that assembly it sits with the oil pump spring, the oil pump cartridge assembly, the pump gasket, ring and shims, and the outer oil pump cap. Units built without the lubrication pump do not use this arrangement and carry a different cap in that position.
