Fabco Meritor 883-0852 is the adapter that carries the PTO air shift cylinder on the TC 33 and TC 35 transfer cases. Both factory parts lists show it as item 50, one per assembly, and both draw it the same way: the PTO air shift shaft passes through the adapter on its way out to the shift fork, with an O-ring sealing each side of it, and the cylinder tube, return spring, shift piston and end cap stacking up behind it toward the four cylinder capscrews. It is the joint between the wet side of the case and the air side of the shift, which is why the O-rings on either face are part of the same repair. Sold by Pro Gear and Transmission.
