The Meritor A3262M1261 hub cap closes the outboard end of the wheel hub on a grease application wheel end. It is a wheel end hub cap in Meritor's hub cap line, specified for grease as the lubricant. A hub cap keeps lubricant in around the wheel bearings, and a cap that is cracked, bulging or bubbling, or a flange scarred by impact or over-tightened bolts, can let lubricant weep out around the gasket.
