Meritor PRG400-860-851-0 or PRG4008608510 is a tractor ABS ECU, a Meritor-programmed electronic control unit for the Anti-lock Braking System. The unit takes wheel-speed signals from the sensors at each wheel end and compares how quickly each wheel is slowing. When one wheel starts heading toward lockup, it commands the modulator valves to back off the brake pressure, steady it, or apply it again at that wheel.
If the unit loses reliable data, the anti-lock function can drop out while the ordinary service brakes keep working, and a fault often shows up as an ABS warning lamp that comes and goes. It is a genuine Meritor part from Pro Gear and Transmission. Call us to confirm proper fit for your tractor.
