The Midland Haldex 65647X is a desiccant-type air dryer designed as a drop-in replacement for the Bendix AD-9 in Holset QE applications. The 12-volt, 75-watt integrated heater keeps the unit operational in cold-weather conditions. Port sizing is 1/2" NPT on both the supply and delivery sides, with a 1/4" NPT control port for governor connection. An automatic drain valve, controlled by the governor, purges accumulated moisture from the desiccant cartridge. The in-line filtration system removes oil and contaminants before air reaches downstream components. Cross-reference numbers include 065647, BW065647, BEN065647, and HDX65647X, among others.
