The Muncie SH8D-S6809-P3IX or SH8DS6809P3IX is a heavy-duty air-shift power take-off from Muncie's SH8 Series, designed to bridge the gap between lighter and heavier PTO families for high-torque truck applications. The integral air shift design keeps all shift components internal, eliminating exposed air cylinder hardware. Mounting uses an 8-bolt cast iron housing, giving the unit structural rigidity on the transmission face. With 17 input gear sets available across the series, this PTO fits most popular transmission configurations, and 12 output shaft options cover most pump types encountered in service.
