Muncie TG6S-F7009-P1KX or TG6SF7009P1KX is a TG6 Series PTO built around a 6-bolt housing and a mechanical shift. In service it takes power from the engine by way of the transmission and feeds it into a gearbox that can run hydraulic or vacuum pumps and other equipment.
Because the input gear stays in constant mesh, engagement mistakes do not carry back into the transmission. The TG Series housing is die-cast aluminum, which keeps the unit light and quiet and helps with heat, and the modular build keeps repairs simpler. With a mechanical shift, the drive gear must be stopped before the PTO is engaged.
