TG8S-KIT06-A3BX or TG8SKIT06A3BX is a Muncie TG Series power take-off with an 8-bolt housing and mechanical shift. The TG Series is a double-gear design with a constant mesh input gear, a die-cast aluminum case, and a roomy shift cover opening for checking backlash. A transmission-mounted PTO like this lets the truck's own engine drive a hydraulic pump or other auxiliary equipment, so no separate engine is needed. As a unit wears, it usually announces itself with whine, clatter or grinding, hard shifting, or oil seeping from the housing. This is a genuine Muncie part from Pro Gear and Transmission.
