The Muncie TG8S-U6807-P3KX or TG8SU6807P3KX is a TG8 Series PTO with an 8-bolt housing and mechanical shift. The TG Series is Muncie's double-gear style power take-off, built with a die-cast aluminum housing that cuts noise and sheds heat well, plus a modular design that makes repair easier.
A PTO bolts to an opening on the truck transmission, where its input gear meshes with a drive gear and passes engine power to the output shaft, which can drive a hydraulic pump directly. The TG Series uses a constant mesh input gear to isolate the transmission from engagement errors, and its extra large shift cover opening gives easy access for checking backlash.
