Muncie TG8S-U6808-P1KX or TG8SU6808P1KX is an 8-bolt, mechanical shift power take-off from the TG Series. A double-gear type PTO like this bolts to the transmission and takes power from it to run auxiliary equipment, most often a hydraulic pump. The TG Series design pairs a die-cast aluminum housing and a constant mesh input gear with rotatable hydraulic flanges for pump clearance. Gear lash is set when the PTO is installed, and a whine can mean the lash is too tight while a chatter can mean it is too loose, so check lash if a noise shows up.
