Muncie TG8S-U6809-A3PX or TG8SU6809A3PX is a TG8 Series PTO with an 8-bolt housing, mechanical shift and a die-cast aluminum case. It is a double-gear unit with a constant mesh input gear, a modular build and rotatable hydraulic flanges for pump clearance. A power take-off draws power from the engine through the transmission into its own gearbox, which then drives auxiliary equipment such as hydraulic or vacuum pumps. A mechanically shifted unit is engaged while its drive gear is not spinning. Whine or rattle from a PTO usually points to the gear clearance between its input gear and the transmission gear.
