Muncie TG8S-U6809-P2KX or TG8SU6809P2KX is a genuine Muncie TG Series PTO built on an 8-bolt housing, available from Pro Gear and Transmission. A PTO like this one picks up power through the transmission and feeds an output shaft that runs a hydraulic pump or other mounted equipment. The TG Series is a modular design with a constant mesh input gear and a die-cast aluminum housing, and its extra large shift cover opening gives easy access for checking backlash. A high whine from a PTO most often comes from the gears or bearings, and a tight mesh with the transmission gear shortens service life. Ratings for each speed ratio are in the table below.
